Office for Students adopts our recommendations

In November 2022, we responded to the Office for Students (OfS) consultation on its new approach to regulating equality of opportunity.

We are delighted that the following recommendations have informed a new OfS Equality of Opportunity Risk Register:

1. Include place-based risks to equality of opportunity
2. Build closer relationships between universities and charities to help close the attainment gap
3. Standardise the evaluation framework for access and participation plans

These measures will help to nurture, harness and reward talent from all social backgrounds in higher education.
